We Have Miley Cyrus to Thank for ‘Grace and Frankie’ Season 2

Thank you, Miley Cyrus!

While we know that the 22-year-old singer is influential, it’s hard to believe that she would have a part in getting Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin’s Netflix series, Grace and Frankie, renewed. But according to creator Marta Kauffman, we owe her our gratitude.

“Let me say, it’s so awesome to do a show on Netflix,” Kauffman told Variety, confirming the news that the online streaming service picked up the show for a second season. “Because two and a half weeks after we launched, Miley Cyrus does a tweet about your show, and they call and say, ‘We’d like to do a season two.’ So yes, there is a season two. We have Ted [Sarandos] and Miley to thank.”

Indeed, Miley did tweet about the new show, adding that “Jane & Lily are so bad a$$.”
