‘Modern Family’s’ Vali Chandrasekaran Sets Overall Deal at 20th TV

Modern Family” co-exec producer Vali Chandrasekaran has set a two-year overall deal at 20th Century Fox TV.

Deal calls for Chandrasekaran to remain with 20th TV’s “Modern Family” and transition to exec producer status in season eight. He had previously been under a deal at ABC Studios.

“We are excited to add Vali’s bold and original voice to our already incredible stable of writers, and we look forward to developing new projects with him down the road,” said Jonnie Davis, 20th Century Fox TV’s president of creative affairs.

Before “Modern Family,” Chandrasekaran worked on “30 Rock,” “My Name Is Earl” and “Trophy Wife.” He’s repped by UTA and Management 360.
