Mom: Girl killed in Fla crash innocent, passionate

WINTER PARK, Fla. (AP) — The mother of the little girl killed when a car crashed into a Florida daycare center says her daughter was sitting at a table waiting for her afternoon snack when the wreck happened.

Nicole Quintus tells The Associated Press that three surgeons tried to save her 4-year-old daughter, Lily, after the crash at the KinderCare building near Orlando. Quintus is pleading for the suspect to come forward.

She called Lily beautiful, passionate and innocent. Quintus says Lily adored princesses, "Star Wars" and Dr. Who, and she doused all her food in ranch dressing. The girl loved her school and teachers, one of whom called Quintus screaming after the wreck.

The mother says her 7-year-old son is an aspiring engineer who wants to try to design a time machine to bring his sister back.
