Monaco to compete in Copa EuroAmericana

MONACO (AP) — Monaco will take part in a preseason friendly tournament involving South American and European clubs.

On Monday, the club says it will compete in the second edition of the Copa EuroAmericana, which will be held in eight cities across Latin and North America.

The tournament will see Monaco's Colombian stars Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez return to their homeland.

Monaco will meet two Colombian clubs: Atletico Junior in Barranquilla on July 20 and Atletico Nacional in Miami three days later.

Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina are also taking part in the competition.

Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Chile and Peru will also host a match.

There will be eight matches, with the winner of each match awarded one point for its continent.

Europe won 6-2 last year.
