GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) — A catch in the kitchen has made Carlos Moncrief a household name.

The Cleveland minor leaguer has drawn all sorts of attention after a nifty set of pictures from a spring training game against Cincinnati.

The photos Wednesday showed Moncrief's catch on a fly ball by Kristopher Negron at Goodyear Ballpark. An outfield billboard for a homebuilding company in the background makes it appear Moncrief is running into the kitchen.

Moncrief had the picture on his cell phone Thursday.

"I loved it," he said.

"My wife saw it live and said, 'good catch,'" he said. "And she never comments on baseball. But she's the master of the kitchen at home. I may go in there and wash dishes once in a while if I'm feeling good."

Associated Press photographer Paul Sancya caught the grab.

"As soon as I saw it, I was like, 'please be in focus,'" he said.
