Monster specs for LG’s 2015 flagship phone may have just leaked

LG at CES 2015 unveiled its second-generation smartphone with a flexible display, a powerful Android handset, but the G Flex 2 won’t be the company’s main phone this year. That spot is reserved for the LG G4, and a report from Greek publication TechManiacs, has revealed more details about the upcoming monster Android device.

According to a source familiar with the matter, the phone will have a 5.3-inch display with Quad HD (2K) resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 16-megapixel wide camera.

Some of these specs have been seen in previous reports, but the publication also provides screenshots from an Android 5.0 dump that seem to confirm the 16-megapixel main camera of the G4.

Recent rumors have revealed that many 2015 flagship smartphones might be delayed, as Qualcomm is experiencing overheating issues with the top Snapdragon 810 processor that need to be addressed.

Samsung is already said to ditch the Snapdragon 810 from its first Galaxy S6 production runs, as the company has its own flagship processor for mobile devices. But it’s not clear how this rumored Snapdragon 810 issues will affect the launch of LG’s G4 flagship.
