More Batman games in the works following Batman: Arkham City
According to a report from CVG, Rocksteady has confirmed that it intends to continue developing Batman games following Batman: Arkham City.
While that isn’t a massive surprise given the popularity of Batman: Arkham Asylum and the hype proceeding Batman: Arkham City, but it is nice to hear that Rocksteady has enough confidence in its upcoming Batman title that it is already looking beyond to the next project.
“I mean I think as long as we’re still enjoying it and as long as we feel we can contribute to the Batman universe,” Rocksteady’s Dax Ginn told CVG when asked how long they could continue churning out Batman titles. “That’s how it feels.
“There’s some amazing stuff going on with Batman all around the world at the moment and we feel as though we’re making our own little contribution in the form of the Arkham-verse.
“So as long as we’ve got stories to tell,” he said. “So long as we feel we can do that and do that really well.”
The gap between Arkham Asylum and Arkham City was just two years, so could we see a new Batman in 2013?
Batman: Arkham City will debut on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 18. A PC version has been delayed until November.
