Motorcycle rider from Fawn Grove dies in crash in Harford County: Maryland State Police

A Fawn Grove motorcyclist died in a crash Sunday night in Harford County, Maryland, according to Maryland State Police.

Jason Birley, 50, was pronounced dead by Harford County Emergency Medical Services personnel at the scene of the crash in the 2600 block of Whiteford Road, a news release states.

Birley was riding a Honda motorcycle north on Whiteford Road when it went off the road and struck a telephone pole, state police said. Troopers responded to the scene shortly after 10:30 p.m.

The road was closed for about 2.5 hours, state police said.

The investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
