    Motorola makes Apple pull iPhones in Germany

    FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Apple says it has withdrawn several iPhone and iPad models from its Internet store in Germany because of a dispute with Motorola.

    The move is in response to a court ruling sought by Motorola that Apple should not be using its mobile technology in the devices without a license.

    The dapd news agency reports Apple says Motorola has refused to license the technology even though Motorola agreed it should be an industry standard.

    The devices withdrawn are the iPhone 3G, the iPhone 3Gs and the iPhone4 and UMTS-capable iPads — but not the iPhone 4S. The products are still available in stores.

      I have just one simple question.

      Where are all the people that were putting comments on Yahoo about how Samsung were just a bunch of thieves, etc., when Apple did this to them? Where are they now? I'd love to hear from a few of them.

      This is getting ridiculous. Whatever happened to the concept of making similar products and competing for money? Is it really easier to try and get a state-sanctioned monopoly?
