Mozilla Firefox Portable review

Firefox Portable is a full, up-to-date version of Firefox for Windows, only portable. A single folder holds everything, so Firefox Portable runs it on any Windows PC from a thumb drive without the need for installation. To uninstall it, just delete the folder or remove the drive. We suggest saving the folder to the desktop; you can always move it later.

Pros

Latest thing: Firefox Portable isn't stripped down or versions behind in looks or features: It's the newest version and takes the latest updates, too.

Intuitive menu: A new menu button groups your most frequently used features in one place, including Cut-Copy-Paste, zoom, sync, and options.

Customizable: Like the installed version, Firefox Portable is totally customizable in layout and controls.

Cons

Big folder: Firefox Portable's folder starts at 95MB and gets bigger with use. That's something to consider when evaluating storage options.

Portable or installed: Portability's downside is that it's not fully integrated into Windows, which can effect things like updates, security software, and log-on data.

Bottom Line

Firefox Portable means those who need a portable browser don't have to compromise on the latest features and performance.
