MyRadar is a very detailed application that presents radar maps brilliantly and processes quickly to give you on-demand results. Although some of the better features offered are only available for purchase, there are just enough options on hand to make this a helpful and easy-to-use program.
Prompt and reliable: We observed that all radar maps loaded within a few moments after navigating to a specific region, and the weather animations always played smoothly. We also experienced no stability issues, likely because the 3.0.10 update improved overall performance.
Uncomplicated usability: MyRadar's display is very clear-cut and does not contain many buttons, which is great because it presents you with a large map and few distractions. It's also helpful that all menus only present necessary information in a concise manner, making your experience much easier.
An assortment of features:Various settings, such as the Flight Plan display, are available to make a radar map customized just for you. The GPS tool, which was made more accurate in the latest update, always performed well, and the variety of fine-tuning options, such as cloud opacity, are small yet influential.
Lack of coverage: MyRadar only offers weather coverage for the continental United States, possibly because of a reliance on National Weather Service information, which fairly hinders overall effectiveness.
For general weather radar monitoring, MyRadar is an excellent application to use. Pilots and others that are interested in live weather radar should find this an effective and enjoyable program.
