Heroes with a Heart Environmental or Animal Welfare Grant Qualifications
Both the nominating and nominated parties must be affiliated with a 501(c) 3 or registered charitable organization. The $5,000 Animal Welfare Grant or Environmental Grant is open to all volunteers who freely give their time, dedication and creativity to protect the natural world.
Total cash grants to selected volunteers from diverse non-profits will equal $17,500 (USD) and additional video awards are valued at $30,000.
Animal Welfare Grant or Environmental Grant
A $5,000 CTK Foundation Environmental Grant or Animal Welfare Grant will thank the selected volunteer, and a professionally produced video will be made about the affiliated non-profit for use in animal welfare or environmental conservation education.

Nominate Your Animal Volunteer or Environmental Hero
Nominations for CTK's animal volunteer or environmental hero awards are open now and applications close Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at midnight (all time zones). Self-nominations will not be accepted and grant applications must be completed and submitted according to directions and schedule in order to be considered. CTK Foundation judges will select semi-finalists after reviewing all applications. From March 15 to April 15, 2012, at midnight, semi-finalist stories will be posted for voting on Facebook. Winners will be announced in early May.
