Glen Davis recovering from foot surgery

Orlando Magic forward Glen Davis is expected to resume basketball activities by the end of September, a league source told Yahoo Sports.

Davis underwent surgery on July 8 to replace a screw in his left foot. He fractured his foot in late January and had it surgically repaired in early February. It’s still uncertain if Davis will be ready to play at the start of the regular season.

Orlando had a 13-21 record in the games Davis played last season and was 7-41 in the games he missed. The Magic have depth at Davis' forward position and could explore trade opportunities for him. He has two years and $13 million left on his contract.
