NBC Gives Series Order to Outbreak Drama From Graham Moore, Marc Forster

“The Imitation Game” screenwriter Graham Moore is creating a drama series for NBC revolving around the outbreak of a global epidemic.

NBC has given a 10-episode order to the project from Endemol Shine Studios and Sky U.K., which will also carry the series Moore will write and exec produce, with Marc Forster (“World War Z”) on board to direct and exec produce.

The untitled project focuses on a woman at the center of a global epidemic, while across the world an FBI agent investigates a terrorist attack that leads him to the brink of madness.

Patrick Spence, Katie Swinden, Frith Tiplady, Nora Grossman and Ido Ostrowsky are also exec producing.

The untitled Moore/Forster project is the latest in a string of straight-to-series orders to come from NBC during the past year.

News of the order was first reported by Deadline.
