North Dakota businesses heading to China for trade mission to showcase food ingredients
FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Fourteen North Dakota companies are traveling to China later this month to showcase the state's agricultural commodities and food products.
The companies will travel March 16-23 to Beijing and Guangzhou in China to introduce North Dakota's food ingredients to the Chinese food manufacturing market.
The trip will be led by Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring and officials from the North Dakota Trade Office and the Northern Crops Institute.
The trip includes a conference and exhibition where crop specialists will give presentations to Chinese buyers and chefs will prepare Chinese dishes with ingredients from North Dakota including flax, sunflowers, barley and wheat.
