New Restaurant Gives Redheads Special ‘Ginger Discount’
Finally, someone willing to give redheads a break: a new eatery in Prestatyn, North Wales, is to give gingers a 20% discount to make up for centuries of bullying and abuse.
Ginger’s Grill, set to open in April, will give “genuine” gingers 20% off their bill at the gourmet burger and chicken joint.
It’s the brainchild of “former ginger” Mark Linaker, who wants to “give gingers a break”.

“As one of my friends said to me, gingers have been getting stick for a long time now so it is time they got something back,” he explained.
“I am a former ginger myself before I started losing my hair and decided to shave it all off so I know what it is like to be a ginger.”
Only 1-2% of the human population have naturally red hair, and this rarity may go some way to explain the discrimination gingers have faced from as far back as the Middle Ages, when red hair was thought to be a sign that you were a witch, a werewolf or even a vampire.
Still, 20% off chicken wings in a small town in North Wales should make up for all that.
“It will be happy days for gingers in the area and also ginger tourists who I hope will flock to Prestatyn,” Mark added.
Whether famous gingers like Ed Sheeran (pictured), Molly Ringwald, Rupert Grint, Prince Harry or the ghost of Queen Elizabeth I will make the trip to Prestatyn remains to be seen.
