      I highly doubt that it will dive THROUGH the sun. Obviously it's trajectory is through the sun but that will never be realized.Who is editing this crap?

      Dive through the SUN??????? More like a snowball in hell. Trust me,,,,it won't be going THROUGH the sun, it may not even get close to even touching the sun. Fire and ice don't mix!

        Candrive85 -- Yes indeed, if a CME is released, it will be just a coincidence. SOHO has observed thousands of sungrazers; they're almost never associated with a CME.

        DOG DAYS -- actually, most CMEs that impact the Earth's magnetosphere don't cause major problems. We get a pretty light show, our GPS signals may be a little flakier than usual, etc, but that's usually all. Some are more powerful, but most of them aren't.

      First off I would like to know how they come to the conclusion that the suns temp is approx 3.6 million degrees.Second, NOTHING will survive that heat!!Third, we supposedly put a man on the moon in 1969 with antique equipment but 40+ years later with off the wall technology we cant do it again. Im calling #$%$ on that one!!!Remember in the 60's it was the race to the moon against the soviets so Im thinking it may have been like whats being said.... FABRICATED to beat the soviets!!

      Another amateur astronomer discovering.......does NASA do ANYTHING anymore? Or do they sit on their information while the taxpayer pays their bills? And they scoff at those who have "conspiracy theories". Insulting people's intelligence by assuming everyone is ignorant, too busy, or doesn't care. Sickening.

      This is just another attempt by the comet to gain it's 15 minutes of fame. Sadly, I don't know why it has such a destructive behaviour nor why it has chosen this time to (almost at Christmas) to check out. My condolences to other comets and asteroids that knew this unhappy pile of rock. :(
