Chefs Compete to Win Title “King or Queen of American Seafood”

The free trip to New Orleans includes attendance at the 8th annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off, on August 6th. The competition pits more than a dozen top chefs from all over America. Each chef will prepare one dish for the competition, using fresh and sustainable seafood from their state. Whoever wins will hold the title, “King (or Queen) of American Seafood”.

“Over a dozen chefs will be competing in the cookoff,” said Ewell Smith, Executive Producer of the Great American Seafood Cook-Off. “They will return home with the message that seafood is good for you, abundant, and delicious.”
The Great American Seafood Cook-Off is open to the public for a $5 suggested donation to the Louisiana Restaurant Association’s Education Fund. It will be held on Saturday, August 6th at the New Orleans Convention Center, Hall J.
