THE BREACH: An undisclosed number of LinkedIn passwords have been stolen and leaked onto the Internet.

RECOMMENDATION: Change passwords immediately. LinkedIn offers security tips in a blog post.

COMPANY RESPONSE: LinkedIn says it's investigating. It has disabled compromised passwords and will email affected users with more information.
