More than 85 firefighters were dispatched to a vacant home in L.A.’s University Park neighborhood after it caught fire late Saturday night.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a fire was reported at the 1905 craftsman style home located at 718 West 30th Street just before 11:40 p.m.

Upon arriving, crews found the two-story home fully engulfed; it took 88 firefighters just 35 minutes to fully confine and extinguish the flames in “largely defensive operations,” LAFD said.

Video posted to the Citizen App shows nearby residents cautiously looking over a wall behind the home as crews began to put out the flames.

No injuries to civilians or fire department personnel were reported.

What started the fire at the 4,556 square-foot home, which was abandoned and boarded up, remains under investigation.
