He was 3 years old.

The boy, whose identity hasn’t been released yet, went to a birthday party at Riverland Park & Pool, 950 SW 27th Ave. Local television cameras showed a playground decorated in a Sesame Street theme beyond crime scene tape after the shooting that occurred around 4:30 p.m.

Social media commentary and transmissions from Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, which took the child to Broward Health Medical Center, indicated drive-by shooters might have been responsible.
