From aisles to lanes: Neoga IGA to turn into bowling alley

NEOGA, Ill. (WCIA) — A former Neoga grocery store will soon be transformed into a bowling alley.

The upcoming venue, called Thunder Lanes, will take the place of the old Neoga IGA located at 183 West 6th Street. Officials with the new Thunder Lanes hope to honor the historic market in their efforts.

“This new venture aims to provide a fresh recreational venue for the residents of Neoga. Thunder Lanes will not only offer a place for fun and entertainment but will also continue to be a central part of the Neoga community, much like Neoga IGA was.”

They also said Thunder Lanes aims to keep community youth employed, just as the Neoga IGA did for generations.

No opening date has been announced as of yet.
