Boyfriend named ‘person of interest’ in death of woman in Huntington Beach

Investigators named a “person of interest” Wednesday in connection with the death of a 35-year-old woman found dead in Huntington Beach last week.

The homicide investigation began Friday afternoon when the body of Nicole Marquisee was found in a residence on the 1100 block of England Street.

No details surrounding the death of Marquisee, who is from Walnut, have been revealed but investigators are now identifying 35-year-old Christopher Mendez of Diamond Bar as a person of interest in the case.

“Mendez was in a dating relationship with the victim,” the Huntington Beach Police Department stated in an update on the investigation.
