GARVEY CAMPAIGN COMES TO ISRAEL

California Republican Senate candidate Steve Garvey was in Israel last week, touring areas attacked by Hamas October 7 and meeting with military officials and a hostage’s family.

The trip has been paid in full by Garvey’s campaign.

The former baseball star has been a strong supporter of Israel, and as the trip began said, “the next U.S. senator from California must be an unwavering ally to the Jewish people.”

Garvey is running against Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Burbank, who is Jewish and has long been considered a strong supporter of Israel.

Garvey met with Israel Defense Forces Lt. Col. Yoni Chetboun (ret.) who also served as the vice president of the Israeli 19th Knesset (Parliament) and received an IDF briefing at a military base on the state of the Israel-Hamas war.

He met with the family of Oct. 7 hostage Guy Gilboa-Dalal. Garvey also visited with IDF soldiers wounded in the war, as well as Samara Weiner of Burbank. She said she has voted for Schiff in the past, but after meeting with Garvey said she’s with him.

Garvey also went to two of the areas hardest hit by the Hamas attacks, the Kfar Aza kibbutz and the Nova music festival site. About 1,200 people died in those attacks.

On his final day in Israel, Thursday, he met with other leaders, including the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to discuss the country’s political climate.

“As this life changing trip to Israel comes to a close, I end with this – every great society has two voices that talk together and collaborate and do what’s best for the people. “

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Today, the Supreme Court has gone rogue with its decision, violating the foundational American principle that no one is above the law. The former president’s claim of total presidential immunity is an insult to the vision of our founders, who declared independence from a King.”
