LAPD searching for mother who abducted her 3 children in Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Police Department is asking the public for help in locating three children who were kidnapped by their mother.

A media release issued by the LAPD indicates that the children, Mar-Naiya Shelton, 14; Major Shelton, 12 and Jeneral Wellace-Peterson, 6, were all last seen in the 2000 block of West Florence Avenue in South L.A. at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

“The children were taken by their mother, who does not have custodial rights of the children,” LAPD said.

Descriptions of the children can be found below:

  • Mar-Naiya Shelton: 14-year-old Black female who stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds and has black hair with brown eyes

  • Major Shelton: 12-year-old Black male who stands 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs approximately 175 pounds and has black hair with brown eyes

  • Jeneral Wellace-Peterson: 6-year-old Black male who stands 3 feet tall, weighs approximately 50 pounds and has black hair with brown eyes

The mother, identified by police as Timberly White, 31, is said to be driving a burgundy 2024 Nissan Sentra SV with the California license plate #9LYA880

She is described as standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds.
