Man arrested over death at city home released

A man arrested on suspicion of murder after another man died at a city centre home has been released.

Police said they were called to a man needing medical attention at Queens Terrace, Southampton on Sunday shortly before 08:45 BST.

A 54-year-old man from the city arrested on suspicion of murder has since been released with no further action to be taken.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said the 42-year-old man's death was being treated as "unexplained".

A police spokesman said: "The circumstances are no longer being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

"Our thoughts remain with the family of the man who has died."
