Man driving truck without front tire sparks NorCal wildfire

Fire season is well underway in California, and while some have obvious causes like fireworks or pyrotechnics at gender-reveal parties, some seem to be born out of a lack of common sense.

Take, for instance, the Flora Fire in Sonoma County, which officials say was caused by an Anderson man driving his truck for four miles without a front tire, creating sparks that then set three separate blazes, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.

The blaze grew to 36 acres and burned for four days before it was contained, according to Cal Fire.

The man, 44-year-old Justin Roy Jones, was arrested and faces a charge of unlawfully starting a fire to a structure, forest or property, Cal Fire told the Times.

He also was accused of violating his probation, though no further details were provided.
