NHC says 20 percent chance of cyclone off Cape Verde islands

(Reuters) - A tropical wave located several hundred miles west of the Cape Verde Islands has a 20 percent chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Monday. "Some development of this system is possible during the next day or two before upper-level winds become hostile for tropical cyclone formation," the NHC said.
