Officer Rescues Dogs From Car on Scorching Day in Las Vegas

Las Vegas police said they are still investigating an incident during which two dogs were left in a car in the Las Vegas suburb of Sunrise Manor on a scorching day in May, before an officer rescued them.

Footage released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on July 3 shows the officer breaking the windows of the car to rescue the overheated pups, who were “tethered and struggling inside a hot minivan.”

“At the time of the rescue, it was nearly 100 degrees outside. The interior temperature of the van was 110 degrees and the dogs were in dire need of cooler conditions,” police said.

Do you know whose vehicle this is?

Ok. Well, they left two animals inside so I'm gonna have to start breaking windows if no one else knows who it is.

Ok. Control to George.

Uh, no one knows whose vehicle this is.

It's in a visitor parking since the window's cracked a little bit.

I'm gonna try and push the window down.

Um, but the dogs are panting, they, one of them is on the ground unknown.

Uh, it appears panting in distress.

My babies hold on.

Yeah.

Come on.

Control.

Two drawers.

I got the window broken.

Tell me, come, I can't see.

Yep.

It's ok. Oh, I pushed it down.

That's me.

Yeah.

Yep.
