Police: 3 L.A. County 7-Eleven stores robbed in an hour

Police are investigating a string of robberies at three 7-Eleven stores in southern L.A. County that occurred within an hour early Sunday morning.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson confirmed to KTLA of the three convenience stores that were hit, one was in Bellflower and the other two were in Lakewood.

The Bellflower store – located in the 14300 block of Bellflower Boulevard near Rosecrans Avenue – was targeted first by thieves around 3 a.m., the LASD spokesperson said.

Nearly half an hour later, the suspects robbed another 7-Eleven location at 5827 Bellflower Boulevard in Lakewood, under three miles from the first store and on the same street.

Around 3:50 a.m., a third robbery was reported four miles away from the first Lakewood 7-Eleven, this time at a store located at 2611 Carson Street near Paramount Boulevard.

Cash registers were taken at all three locations after the suspects jumped over the counter, the sheriff’s department said.

The amount of money taken is not known, and it is unclear if the thieves made off with any merchandise.

The suspects were described as four men wearing all black clothing and face masks. They were able to flee the scene in a black sedan, police added.

Whether all three robberies were connected was not initially confirmed by authorities.
