Police have advised residents to shut their windows after a fire broke out in a commercial building.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said it was alerted to the blaze near Penryn at about 00:08 BST on Thursday.

Devon and Cornwall Police was also in attendance and said there was a "significant amount of smoke".

The fire service said roads in the Ponsharden area would be shut until further notice.

Multiple crews were called to the blaze, the fire service said.

Firefighters will remain at the scene to monitor hotspots.
