State Police: Man struck by vehicle on I-293 is Auburn man

Jul. 26—Police have identified the man hit by a vehicle on Interstate 293 in Manchester earlier this week as Mark Robinson, 63, of Auburn.

Robinson suffered life-threatening injuries after he entered the travel portion of the northbound highway around 6 a.m. Wednesday and was struck by a work van, according to State Police.

Officials on Friday said Robinson remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Police said the driver of the van remained on the scene of the accident and was fully cooperating with state police, who are investigating the incident.
