Takoma Park man shot, killed in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police were investigating after a man was shot and killed in Northwest D.C. on Thursday.

Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the 2000 block of Bryant St. NE around 3:30 p.m. after a shooting was reported.

There, police found 26-year-old Hassan Kamara Jr. of Takoma Park, Md., who had been shot. Responders took him to the hospital, where he died.
