Unidentified body found in Casco Bay near Chebeague Island

Jul. 26—The Maine Marine Patrol recovered a body from Casco Bay around 10:30 a.m. Friday.

A recreational fisherman found the unidentified man in the water about 100 yards from the end of Indian Point Road on Chebeague Island, according to Maine Marine Patrol.

The fisherman called police and the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office notified Marine Patrol at 9:18 a.m.

Marine Patrol brought the body to a local funeral home before it was taken to the state medical examiner for identification.
