Vandalism suspect among 3 stabbed in violent confrontation in Long Beach

Three people were injured, including a vandalism suspect, during a violent confrontation in Long Beach Monday night.

Police responded to East 9th Street near Hoffman Avenue regarding a vandalism in progress call shortly before 9 p.m.

Two men confronted the vandalism suspect who then attacked both of them with a knife, the Long Beach Police Department stated.

The two victims were able to restrain the man on the ground until police arrived.

All three men were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries to their upper bodies following the incident.

The unidentified suspect will be booked following medical clearance, police said.
