March 10 (The Sports Xchange) - Teams and players are jockeying for position in the market, with New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis and Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush being among the players attracting interest.
The Denver Broncos are seeking an upgrade at right cornerback opposite Champ Bailey, and ESPN reported Sunday that the Broncos expressed interest in a deal for Revis. However, the Denver Post reported the Broncos have no intention of acquiring Revis.
Revis is recovering from a torn ACL and is expected to be traded. The Falcons, Buccaneers, Lions and 49ers have been linked to a Revis deal.
The Denver Post reported the Broncos do have an interest in free-agent running back Rashard Mendenhall.
Meanwhile, Bush's days in Miami appear to be numbered.
The franchise is preparing to invest in free agent help at other positions with an eye on a bigger role for backups Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas.
The Detroit Lions didn't deny their interest in Bush, first reported at the NFL Scouting Combine, and the Arizona Cardinals are another team showing an interest in Bush.

After re-signing Brian Hartline this week, the Dolphins appear to be continuing their pursuit of wide receivers.
The Dolphins are in serious talks with Brandon Gibson, the Miami Herald reported Sunday. General manager Jeff Ireland also is hoping to land Mike Wallace in free agency.
According to Fox Sports' Alex Marvez, Wallace has put the Dolphins atop his list of suitors.

Despite talk that Atlanta Falcons future Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez was "95 percent" sure of retiring, it appears Gonzalez will be back - under the right conditions.
"He will come back if they pay him $7 million and he doesn't have to do training camp," one Falcons player told Yahoo! Sports.

Offensive tackle Jordan Gross has been asked to adjust his contract with the Carolina Panthers to bring the team into compliance with the salary cap before the league year officially begins on Tuesday.
The Panthers want the 32-year-old left tackle to reduce his cap figure of $11.7 million.

Alabama running back Eddie Lacy, the top-ranked running back by NFLDraftScout.com, will not be ready to work out for scouts on his pro day scheduled for March 13 because a small tear in his hamstring.
He did not work out at the NFL Combine either, for the same reason, so scouts will have little to go on.

A medical report that has been sent to NFL teams might allay some fears about Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones' physical condition. Jones, who has been diagnosed with spinal stenosis, has seen his predraft stock plummet in the eyes of some.
The medical report compiled by leading orthopedist Craig Brigham disputes that Jones ever had a significant spinal cord contusion. Brigham concluded, "Jarvis is cleared to play without restriction."

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is standing firmly behind teammate Anquan Boldin and his insistence on getting the money he thinks he deserves.
The Ravens are trying to get Boldin to take less than his $6 million base salary for 2013, and so far he is not budging.
Flacco understands. He recently landed a six-year, $120.6 million contract from the Ravens.

The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed Kicker Mike Nugent to a two-year contract before he became an unrestricted free agent on Tuesday, according to a report on the team's website.
Nugent, 31, made 19 of 23 field goal attempts last season (82.3 percent) but injured his right calf in December and missed the Bengals' playoff game.

The Cardinals released oft-injured wide receiver Early Doucet and extended a qualifying offer to backup quarterback Brian Hoyer.
Doucet had 28 receptions for 207 yards in 12 games last season and 139 career receptions for 1,491 yards and seven touchdowns with the Cardinals.
