Indianapolis Colts quarteback Andrew Luck can take solace in the fact that the NFL has informed the team that the call of his interception by Will Witherspoon should have been reversed, according to the Indianapolis Star.
Luck's knee was down, but the official on the field apparently did not get to see the camera angle that showed that on a play that Witherspoon returned 40 yards for a touchdown. The play should have been a sack for Titans defensive end Derrick Morgan, putting the Colts in a fourth down situation.
Fortunately for the Colts, they were able to rally and win the game, and with Indy in the thick of the playoff chase, the last thing the Colts or the league wants is a game being decided by a blown call. It has already happened with the replacement refs this year in the Seattle-Green Bay game.
