NH council holds hearing on Rose nomination as resources and economic development commissioner

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) -- The Executive Council is holding a hearing on Jeffrey Rose's nomination to be New Hampshire's next resources and economic development commissioner.

The council will hear from the public beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in its chambers in the Statehouse.

Rose of Goffstown is currently director of public affairs for BAE's Electronic Systems sector. He also has served as chair of the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce.

Rose began his work in New Hampshire as a special assistant to former Congressman John E. Sununu and served as projects director for former U.S. Sen. Bob Smith and state director for former Congressman Jeb Bradley.

The department of Resources and Economic Development consists of four divisions: forest and lands, parks and recreation, travel and tourism and economic development.
