Center Jonathan Toews added a goal and an assist for Chicago, which seized a 2-1 series lead in the Western Conference quarter-final. Blackhawks center Andrew Desjardins and defenseman Brent Seabrook also scored. Center Mike Ribeiro and defenseman Mattias Ekholm scored for Nashville. Chicago rookie goaltender Scott Darling made 35 saves to win his first career playoff start. Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne turned aside 26 shots in the loss. - - - Islanders 2, Capitals 1 (overtime) Center John Tavares scored just 15 seconds into overtime as New York edged Washington in Game Three of the Eastern Conference quarter-finals. The Islanders lead the best-of-seven series 2-1. Tavares put back the rebound of a shot by left winger Nikolay Kulemin. It trickled past Capitals goalie Braden Holtby and over the red line as the sellout crowd erupted. Game Four is scheduled for Tuesday night in Uniondale, New York. Right winger Kyle Okposo also scored for the Islanders while goalie Jaroslav Halak made 24 saves. Center Nicklas Backstrom scored late in the third period for the Capitals.
