Milan Lucic and right winger Jarome Iginla had a goal and an assist each and goaltender Tuukka Rask stopped 27 shots as the Bruins (36-16-3) improved their home record to 22-6-2, including 19-3-2 in their last 24 games. Vancouver (27-22-9) lost five straight, the last two in two nights since coach John Tortorella returned from his 15-day league suspension. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Islanders (22-28-8). The Capitals (25-23-9) entered the game three points out of a playoff spot. They went 3-1-1 in their previous five games. - - - Panthers 4, Maple Leafs 1 Goalie Tim Thomas and the Florida Panthers shut down the Toronto Maple Leafs for a victory. Center Marcel Goc added an empty-net goal with 2:30 left in the game.
