Jan 22 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Wednesday's National Hockey League games - - - Penguins 5, Canadiens 1 Jussi Jokinen scored twice to help lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 5-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens. All six Pittsburgh defensemen chipped in with at least one assist apiece in the victory. The Penguins (35-13-2) bounced back from a 5-1 loss to the Florida Panthers on Monday that snapped their 13-game home unbeaten streak. The Canadiens (27-18-5), meanwhile, allowed five goals in a second consecutive loss. Pittsburgh's Marc-Andre Fleury made 23 saves for his league-leading 28th victory. - - - Red Wings 5, Blackhawks 4 (shootout) Patrick Eaves, Todd Bertuzzi and center Darren Helm scored in a shootout to give the Detroit Red Wings a win over the Chicago Blackhawks. Gustav Nyquist had a goal and an assist, left winger Tomas Tatar, Eaves and defenseman Kyle Quincey scored for Detroit (22-18-10) in regulation. Captain and center Henrik Zetterberg had three assists. Marian Hossa, Andrew Shaw, Patrick Sharp and center Marcus Kruger scored for Chicago (32-8-12). Kruger tied the game at 4-4 five minutes into the third period. - - - Hurricanes 3, Flyers 2 Jiri Tlusty scored the game-winning goal with 6:10 remaining and the Carolina Hurricanes edged the Philadelphia Flyers. Alexander Semin and Nathan Gerbe also scored for the Hurricanes (21-19-9). Carolina goaltender Anton Khudobin made 22 saves. The Hurricanes, who lost three of their previous four games, improved to 3-0 against Philadelphia this season with three one-goal victories. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was postponed because of a snowstorm. Claude Giroux and left winger Scott Hartnell collected goals for the Flyers (25-20-6).
