Jan 31 (The Sports Xchange) - The Detroit Red Wings assigned defenseman Brian Lashoff to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Saturday. The Red Wings also loaned goaltender Jonas Gustavsson to the Griffins for conditioning. Gustavsson, 30, has been sidelined since Nov. 5 after suffering a shoulder injury during an overtime loss to the New York Rangers. - - - The Arizona Coyotes recalled goaltender Louis Domingue from the Portland Pirates of the AHL. The Coyotes also assigned goaltender Mike McKenna to Portland. - - - The New York Islanders activated defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky from injured reserve.
