Nov 6 (The Sports Xchange) - Florida Panthers management held a late-night meeting on Tuesday to discuss the future of the team, but no decisions were immediately made on the fate of coach Kevin Dineen. General manager Dale Tallon promised to take action to alter the direction of the team after the Panthers dropped their sixth consecutive game -- a 4-3 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers. "There will be changes ... ," Tallon told the Miami Herald. "I don't make rash decisions. None of us are happy. I have to fix this and I will. We're better than this." - - The Detroit Red Wings placed winger Jordin Tootoo on waivers, MLive.com reported. Tootoo, 30, played in eight games this season and had no points and a minus-4 rating. - - Anaheim Ducks right wing Teemu Selanne was scheduled to return to action in Wednesday's game against Phoenix after missing three games with a mouth injury. Selanne, 43, lost four teeth and needed stitches to close cuts around his mouth after being hit in the face with a stick during a game in Philadelphia on Oct. 29. - - Minnesota Wild defenseman Keith Ballard, who recently returned after being sidelined by a concussion, will miss the next two games with an upper-body injury.
