Niger needs 1 bln euros to fight illegal migration - foreign minister

NIAMEY (Reuters) - Niger, a major transit country for migrants seeking to reach Europe, needs 1 billion euros to combat illegal migration and has asked the European Union, France and Germany for financial help, Foreign Minister Ibrahim Yacoubou said on Tuesday. "Niger needs a billion euros to fight against clandestine migration ... We've solicited the help of the European Union, France and German.
