NJ faces another heat wave

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Forecasters are predicting hazy, hot and humid weather conditions in New Jersey on the first weekend before the July Fourth holiday.

The National Weather Service says the heat will begin to build on Thursday. The humidity will increase on Friday and last through the weekend.

An excessive heat warning will take effect from noon Friday until 8 p.m. Sunday for counties along the Delaware River.

Temperatures in the 90s are expected to combine with humidity to make it feel like 100 degrees.

The second heat wave of the summer would pose the greatest threat to the very young, the very old and pets.
