NJ to let casinos accept bets on fantasy teams

NJ to allow casinos to offer fantasy sports betting using real money

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Regulators have announced the temporary adoption of rules which allow Atlantic City casinos to offer fantasy sports tournaments to their patrons.

Casinos will accept entry fees from gamblers and pay out winnings from the casino cash cages.

Patrons must be at least 21 years old.

The Gaming Enforcement Division says the rules will become effective on April 22. That means they will come too late for the surge of interest in fantasy pools for the NCAA basketball tournament.
