You can no longer trick Walmart into selling you a brand new PS4 for $90
Some crafty customers looking to spend no more than $89.99 on a brand-new PlayStation 4 console this holiday season have already taken advantage of Walmart’s price-matching policy. They managed to scam the retailer into selling the console for that ridiculous price, which was previously used in a fake online Amazon listing from a third-party that Amazon later removed. Since then, Walmart has caught on to the trick, Business Insider reports, and will no longer honor fraudulent prices.

The retailer has updated its price-matching polices to include only certain stores, and the promotion will not also include third-party vendors that may advertise fake discounted goods on Amazon or other sites specifically intended to trick Walmart into matching significantly lower prices.
“[We’ve] updated our policy to clarify that we will match prices from Walmart.com and 30 major online retailers, but we won’t honor prices from marketplace vendors, third-party sellers, auction sites or sites requiring memberships,” Walmart told Business Insider in a statement.
