North Korean leader leaves Russia for China

MOSCOW (AP) — North Korean leader Kim Jong Il left Russia aboard his armored train late Thursday, crossing into Manchuria in China's northeast a day after pushing for a return to discussions on his country's nuclear program.

Kim Jong Il's train — a present to his father from Soviet dictator Josef Stalin — was seen at the Zabaikalsk railway station on the Russian-Chinese border a day after he met Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for talks in a Siberian city, the Interfax news agency reported.

The armored carriages have been remodeled and refurbished with luxurious interior and satellite communications since Soviet times, Russian media reported. Kim has a fear of flying, and uses the train extensively.

After the meeting in Ulan-UdeKim agreed to impose a nuclear test and production moratorium if international talks on Pyongyang's atomic program resume. He also expressed readiness to return to the discussions without preconditions, the Kremlin said.

Faced with deepening sanctions and economic woes, North Korea has pushed to restart the six-sided talks that involve both Koreas, the United States, China, Russia and Japan.

U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said Kim's apparent offer was "a welcome first step" but not enough to restart the long-stalled talks meant to end the North's nuclear weapons ambitions.

Washington and Seoul have been wary of the North's repeated calls for new six-party nuclear talks, calling first for an improvement in dismal ties between the Koreas and for a sincere sign from the North that it will abide by past commitments it has made in previous rounds of talks.

North Korea is believed to have enough weaponized plutonium for at least six atomic bombs, and is believed to be working toward mounting a nuclear bomb on a long-range missile.

Russia and North Korea also moved forward this week on a proposal to build a pipeline that will ship Russian natural gas to both Koreas.

At seen from NATO and US aggression, this has become North Korea's only insurance against invasion, this and the lack of natural resources for the North Atlantic Trade Organization to divide up the spoils of war.

We've heard this all before. No more free lunch! No more rewarding bad behavior! There's no reason to discuss anything. He has to live up to the agreements already made!

Peter 3:18 For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished d eath, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:John 6:40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed. Romans 4:25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification . I am the bread of life. Those who come to me will never be hungry, those who believe in me will never be thirsty. " (John 6.35 )

NKorea should give up nuclear weapons and cooperate with the rest of the world, while maintaining the present political system. The people neeed a decent life, and the normal contact with the world, if not full democrcy.

Join Life World. You only have one. You leaders of countries, stock piling arms... FOR WHAT..
you can only blow me up once! Why waste your life in fear? What have you gained?
Not a damned thing. Do you ever wonder what it would be like to wake up happy and in peace? You countries have much to offer the world, but YOUR LEADERS are robbing
you and the rest of the world from enjoying trading with you or vacationing with you
because they would rather play games where no one wins. Because their mad about something that happened 50 years ago? Forgive.. get over it. Be constructive and creative.
Stop with the hate. You only hurt yourself in the end.

Love your neighbor as yourself. I dont know if N. Korea, Russia and China
believes in Jesus, but His words are true. You leaders of the world should
        try it and see.

I agree with alot of what you are saying but Americans dont truely believe in Jesus either> Greed is not Christian, Having rich and poor is not Christian along with death penalty, abortion, wars, and everything America believes in is an insult to Christ.

        Joseph,
I imagine if you are from another country, you could be easily confused,
for example, in Islamic/ Muslim countries, sharia law is part of their religion
and is also their "constitution" so to speak. Its forced on them.
But this is not so in America. Being American does not make one a Christian.
Excepting Christ is a personal choice.
I am American by birth, I am against abortion, I am against wars, although
I do believe in defending. I am against things that are antichrist,
as are most of the Christians in America. But you can live in America, be
born in America, and not believe. That is a choice you make. Jesus would
want it this way. Having faith shoved down your throat by law, isnt really faith.
Greed and Fear are the two things that cause
wars. If people would sit down and be civil, Im sure good trading would take
place instead of selling arms to one another.God gave us plenty. But I do
appreciate your comment. Keep reading the Words in Red, and God Bless You.

Someday things may very well come down to some small issue going out of control, and a regime leader like this fool somewhere (Iran?) will decide to use a large enough bomb, maybe even a nuke, on another sovereign country (Israel?), and start a conflict that will spiral like a wildfire- and nothing/nobody will be safe anywhere worldwide from the effects and possible continuation of insanity. But mankind has a solid history of using warfare to press policy, religion, and/or culture on others. The USofA is no exception to all this one way or another. So I believe it is justified that we have the most capable military- and the largest navy, as well as if not the most nukes- then the most 'operationally competent' nukes in the world. For these reasons I feel better about what actions WE can take to squash any aggression in the world. (Salute to all the folks in uniform wherever you are!)

You just said it yourself,America is the cause of most of the wars in the world, and regimes like that of Kim,and Irans theocracy depend on nuclear weapons to insure thier peace and stability . Isreal would deserve being bombed into the stoneage just like America would as well. These are the two most aggressive countries in the world.

WOW he has enough nuclear material for five bombs and he might be able to put one on a missile. Well, at RRAD we recently demilled oh I don't how many missiles with oh about 7 k in Storage still. That is only ONE military installation mind you. Ok lets be frank about it. He has A missile. Do we know where it is? Probably. Can he find an American Submarine capable of putting 240 warheads into his country in say one hour? Not likely. How many Subs do we have on patrol? half of the total. DO other ships have nukes? That is classified but yes they do. How many nukes are there in say SK, Japan and in the sea of Japan? Oh, I'd say about a thousand give or take a couple of hundred. Do you think he would use his ONE missile? He's not stupid. Do you think he has enough sojers to invade South Korea? South Korea has an army just as big. Air force? More Modern. Navy fuggitaboutit. Why worry.

Christian Westerners *hate* North Korea. It is a fact. The US and EU killed millions in their bloody wars in the last 10 years. It is also a fact. I urge the Christian monsters to look at your factual deeds and realize what a bunch of fearful racist and murders you really are!
