November Auto Sales: General Motors

DETROIT (AP) — General Motors Co. said Monday that its November U.S. sales rose just 3 percent, but that was enough of a boost to bring the company its best November since 2007.

Sales were led by the Buick and Cadillac brands, which each reported increases of more than 20 percent. But Chevrolet, GM's biggest brand, saw flat sales.

BY THE NUMBERS: The Detroit automaker said it sold 186,505 cars and trucks last month, up from 180,402 a year earlier.

TOP SELLERS: GM sold 30,674 Chevy Silverado pickup trucks last month, but that was down 10 percent from a year ago.

HOT MODELS: The Chevrolet Cruze compact, with sales up 27 percent to 16,807. Sonic subcompact sales were up almost 12 percent to 5,016.
