And Now There's Another Bewitched Reboot in the Works

There've been so many TV adaptations, sequels, and remakes in the news lately that even the phrase "another day, another reboot" is played out. And yet they just keep coming.

The latest pop-culture classic to become the subject of revival talks is Bewitched, in conjunction with the show's 50th anniversary. The original series ran on ABC from 1964 to 1972.

Deadline reports that "multiple networks" are interested in the potential reboot, which comes from Lucy Fisher and Douglas Wick. Fisher and Wick also produced 2005's poorly received film adaptation of the series, which starred Will Ferrell and Nicole Kidman. This isn't the first time the duo has tried to bring Bewitched back to television; in 2011, they teamed with Marc Lawrence for a reboot that received a script order at CBS but never came to fruition.

The original Bewitched starred Elizabeth Montgomery as a witch who tried to juggle her superpowers and her ordinary life as a suburban housewife married to a non-warlock husband.
